Premium, natural, holistic: the vision of skincare according to Izaho Botanicals

Since its creation three years ago, the Malagasy brand Izaho Botanicals has embodied the essence of A-Beauty: formulations centered on the power of raw botanicals, a holistic approach to beauty, and a strong ethical commitment based on valuing local know-how and respecting resources.

Driven by a shared passion for Madagascar’s biodiversity and ancestral rituals, Anthony Rabibisoa and Jean-Christophe Peyre founded Izaho Botanicals with the motto: “When nature elevates our well-being.” As poetic as it is symbolic, the name “Izaho,” meaning “me” in Malagasy, expresses a true philosophy of well-being: taking care of oneself in order to better care for others. Blending responsible luxury and Malagasy cultural heritage, the young brand is forging its path toward more conscious and sustainable cosmetics.

Botanical Essence at the Heart of an “In & Out” Ritual

Natural actives and scientific innovation are at the core of Izaho Botanicals’ mission to create exceptional skincare. Whether it’s Centella Asiatica, Sigesbeckia, Moringa Drouhardii, or prickly pear oil, the ingredients used in the range offer remarkable benefits. These virtues are amplified by the “terroir effect” : according to the plant’s origin and concentration, the effectiveness of active principles can be significantly enhanced, as observed by the ethnobotanists and chemists involved in the project.

To allow clients to fully benefit from these properties, Izaho Botanicals has developed a holistic “In & Out” ritual: pairs of body oils and plant infusions with multiple benefits for both mind and body. Their combination optimizes the effects of the plants and ensures a complete sensory experience, providing a feeling of total well-being. “A sensory experience as close to nature as possible, for a peaceful mind in a healthy body,” explains Anthony Rabibisoa, co-founder of the brand.

For More Conscious and Sustainable Cosmetics

At Izaho, beauty is conceived as a responsible act. From the outset, the brand has been built around responsible supply chains, in close partnership with local producers. “We’re not just talking about sourcing,” insists Anthony Rabibisoa, “we’re talking about sustainable partnerships, shared values, and common paths toward positive impact.”

Izaho Botanicals positions itself as an agent of positive transformation. By supporting farmers in adopting more resilient and eco-friendly agricultural practices, the brand serves the environmental cause; it also supports social development by promoting local expertise and fostering the economic independence of communities.

This ethic extends to radical transparency. The origin of raw materials, formulation processes, and concrete impacts on the planet and local populations: every choice is explained, every progress shared. It’s a way to remind us that true beauty is born from respect-for the skin as well as for the lands that nourish it.

A-Beauty : At the Forefront of Conscious Beauty Expectations

Distributed in Madagascar and online, Izaho Botanicals already attracts a loyal, mostly international clientele. To continue its international development, Izaho Botanicals, like all young African cosmetic brands, must meet the challenge of exporting in a demanding regulatory context.

Moreover, to reach a broader audience, prices have recently been lowered. “This is the result of two years of work to rethink, adjust, and improve everything possible: from smarter sourcing to an even stronger local production base in Madagascar,” details Anthony Rabibisoa. As a result, the 50ml body oil blends are now priced at €34 and the 100ml at €42.

Meanwhile, in a booming cosmetics market, the brand continues to express its vision by highlighting the values of A-Beauty. In preparation: expansion into many other categories, from personal care to home wellness, with the medium-term ambition to become a global wellness brand, including a professional spa range.
