Between sculpture and the memory of materials, the young Moroccan artist Mohamed Radi is awarded the Ellipse Prize 2026, dedicated this year to Morocco’s emerging art scene under the theme “The Strange and the Foreigner.” His practice reinterprets leather, a traditional material, transforming it into a sensitive, organic surface marked by the traces of time. He will receive a residency in Marrakech, a production grant, and tailored professional support, along with two exhibitions scheduled in Paris in 2027 and in Casablanca, where his work will continue to unfold.
